Glad you asked.....! A Cut Out Cake is a cake that has been cut into a simple shape to represent the particular design. These differ from sculpted cakes in that they are only 2 dimensional and sit flat on the cake board. A common example of a cut out cake is a number, or numbers. I do cakes shaped like "50" or "40" a lot of the time. These cakes are relatively inexpensive and fun.
